Share your bread with the hungry. . . (Isaiah 58:7)

Prayer is good, but not enough.  We are obligated to bring a little bit of heaven down to earth via gemilut hesed, unsolicited acts of kindness and love.

Following Rosh Hashanah and up until Kol Nidrei,

please drop off KOSHER non-perishables—

pastas, canned fruits and vegetables,

canned fish, boxed cereals, and crackers, etc.— 

to bring to the synagogue  (nothing after Kol Nidrei, please).

Your bags will be collected at the door and boxes in the Religious School  will be set up

to receive your donations.

Operation Isaiah is a project of

The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.

Collected food items will be brought to Hatzilua food relief program serving Jewish families in the Nassau / Queens areas.
